The Netstor NS390S-8026 is the most high-density 48-bay SAS JBOD storage enclosure designed for HPC (High Performance Computing) application of mass capacity storage, which significantly and effectively saves the cost for spaces needed within the 19” rack and the cabinet room. For the portion of the power, the 5U 48-bay storage adopts the highly efficient 80 PLUS redundant power supply that efficiently uses the power toward the enclosure and allows a lower budget for the maintenance of the arrays of the mass capacity storage. The NS390S-8026 is built with the latest 6Gbps SAS expansion technology that makes 6Gbps SAS/SATA 3.5-inch HDDs available to the enclosure. Therefore, both high-density and high-performance features are presented through the rackmount 48-bay storage. With the innovative SAS expansion technology inside, each SAS host RAID card is capable of supporting a capacity of up to 128 hard drives.

Through the latest 6Gbps SAS expansion technology, the NS390S-8026 supports SES-2 protocols for host management of cascaded external enclosures. Provided with 48 hot-swappable HDD trays, each front of the drive trays is built with an HDD failure LED indicator to let users avoid pulling out the wrong drives that lead to the total crash of the whole data stored on the RAID volumes. The high-density 48-bay rackmount storage features excellent enclosure management covering monitoring of all components and audible/visual alerts for fan, power supply failures and over-temperature. LCD displays are given in front of the enclosure to let IT administrators know immediately the status of all units. The built-in eight large 120×120×25 mm cooling fans provide best airflow ventilation for drives while maintaining the enclosure at the lowest sound volume, so IT administrators are now able to be kept away from the noise resulting from the cabinet room.
