NA333TB - Power of Mac Mini Server Entirely Releas

The power of the tiny Mac mini with Lion Server is now able to be fully released by the Netstor NA333TB, the 3U 16-bay Thunderbolt™ storage enclosure with PCIe expander. Although the Mac mini server is rich in many aspects including the power from its state-of-the-art processor and graphics, one shortcoming is the inability to add multiple video-editing add-on cards to the Mac mini server itself to increase its capability. However, the NA333TB can easily resolve this issue by providing multiple free PCIe slots and storage to the Mac mini server through the lightning-fast 10Gbps Thunderbolt™ interface.

For Mac mini server with the default 1TB capacity, more storage capacity would be needed through the video editing field for mass capacity storage and maximum data protection. Through optional RAID HBA inside the NA333TB connected with Mac mini server, the high-performance 3U 16-bay storage with the ultra-fast data transfer rate by Thunderbolt™ for the Mac mini server not only provides expanded storage up to 48TB(1) but also gives RAID level protection such as RAID 0, 1, 10, 3, 5, 6, 30, 50, 60, JBOD…etc. to the data saved on the storage, so concerns about the less capacity on server are eliminated while projects relating to video editing are greatly protected.

By the connectivity with NA333TB, the Mac mini with Lion Server allows appropriate access to Xsan volumes through Lion Server’s built-in Xsan software. Due to the OS X Lion Server and the Xsan, it has never been easier to set up and manage the whole SAN architecture with the Mac mini server. The Fibre Channel HBA or 10G Networking card can simply be fitted inside NA333TB to make available the SAN networks with the Mac mini server. Therefore, to set up a SAN with Mac mini server with mass storage through the Fibre Channel or GbE iSCSI has no longer been a dream. Furthermore, the free PCIe slots on NA333TB have provided the opportunities to add multiple video-editing add-on cards to Mac mini server through the high-speed 10Gbps Thunderbolt™ interface.
